Week 2

Part 1.

Week 2 Training Video.

We were able to run only once due to heavy activities during the same day.

Part 2.

  1. What did your workout entail?

The workout entails group effort, time management and critical thinking.

For example, to do the task, it was necessary to think with my partner about the time to do the exercises, type of exercises and group encouragement.

2. What’s the schedule for the two Vanier fitness centres?

The schedule is provided on the image.

3. What time did you attend and with whom?

I attended the fitness center with Steve Banh around 2:30 PM, Feb. 14th, 2020.

4. How did you feel before, during, and after?

Before the training, I felt normal as usual. During the training, I could feel that the heart beat and body temperature increasing. After the training, I felt cathartic because I decreased my stress with physical activities.

5. What did you learn, like, and dislike?

I learned that it is important to do daily exercise or occasional exercises, in order to have a healthy physical and psychological status in daily life. I liked that I was able to manage my stress through physical exercises, but I did not like it that I do not have enough motivation to do daily exercises.

6. What were some machines and equipment that you used during your workout?

I used weights to train my biceps and triceps, treadmill to increase the endurance, and bench to do bench press.

7. Were you glad you went and would you recommend it to a friend?

I was certainly glad that I had a chance to re-discover the importance of daily exercises and I had a chance to get close to my classmates.

Part 3.

  1. List three specific examples of what would motivate you to participate in and stick to a regular exercise routine.

First, it will be the result of physical exercises (improved health condition, less stresses, etc.) second, it will be loosed school schedule (having 8 to 10 hours of study in daily basis certainly drain all of my energy and the motivation) and last, personal goal would provides the motivation.

2.  List three specific barriers or excuses which would prevent you from doing so.

First will be, as mentioned, the amount of time and energy that I need to spend just for study second, it is my laziness and my procrastination that are created from the amount of studies and last, it will be my physical endurance limit (after class and school, I sleep and continue my school works).

3. What type of workouts and physical activities do you like?

I like a group activities where everyone can enjoy together, without any major theories and extreme amount of physical interact (or violence).

4. Do you prefer going to the gym or working out at home? Weights, yoga, biking, or running; functional movements; HIIT workouts.

I would like to do exercises at home because I do not have to pay monthly membership that I may not able to attend every time. Unless I want to use some machines or tools that I cannot put in my house, I would go to gym.

5. What could you see yourself doing through college and university to improve fitness, wellness, and health?

Currently, I can see myself suffering from lack of sleep and lack of rest from unbalanced schedule. Only way that I can balance my health is eating a balanced meal, 2 times per day. If schedule balances, I would certainly can see myself spending time, at least 30 min to 1 hour everyday, doing physical exercises.

6.  What could you see yourself doing as exercise for the remainder of your life?

I could see myself doing general exercises, in order to maintain a good body shape and endurance.
